A TYPICAL DAY
07:30 Wake Up
Rise and shine, it’s time to get ready for the day ahead. We get dressed and head to the canteen for a hearty meal!
08:30 Breakfast
It’s time to fuel up for the day ahead. Full English and Continental with fruit bar and juices are on offer – the perfect start to your day
09:25 Lesson One
Our teachers are creative and innovative and lessons are never dull. The right balance between the oral and the written word is found according to the level of the group.
10:30 Break
10:50 Lesson Two
Interactive, engaging and fun with a significant focus on: communication skills, pronunciation and fluency, grammar, study skills, presentation skills to increase confidence, reading and writing, and
every day use of English.
11:55 Break
12:00 Project Lesson
In order to enhance spontaneous learning, students use video cameras, photo cameras, instruments, etc. They produce short films, plays, photo diaries, songs and magazines.
12:30 Lunch
The school has its own catering staff and students are given fresh food that is well cooked and attractively presented. Fresh fruit and vegetables, excellent meat and poultry, cheese, milk and salads are all provided.
14:00 Activities and Exursions
There are multiple activities to choose, including Gokarting, Paintball, Rock Climbing, Horse Riding, Red Hot Yoga, Crazy Golf and Kayaking.
Day excursions to London, Brighton, Windsor or Portsmouth or visits to Theme Parks such as Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures or Legoland.
17:00 Sports or Dance/Zumba or Drama/Art/Filmmaking
Into the afternoon you will find staff and students working, playing and relaxing together. It is this wholehearted involvement in the Summer Course that makes it such an effective and enjoyable way to learn.
18:30 Supper
Menus are varied and care is taken to offer a variety of English cuisine, as well as European dishes, and weather permitting, our BBQs and picnics. Every day there is a vegetarian option and there’s also a permanent salad bar available during both lunch and dinner.
19:30 Evening Activities
Once again a range of activities is available including Club Nights, Jeux Sans Frontiers, Tribute Acts, Lazer Quest, Bowling, Skating, Theatre Trips, Cinema. Every Friday we go to London’s West End to enjoy a show.
22:30 Lights Out
Bed time is staggered depending on the age of the children, so naturally the younger ones will go to bed slightly earlier. Rest up, tomorrow will be a packed day!
