Congratulations to all our wonderful and talented leavers! They worked incredibly hard to show off their skills, knowledge and progress all through their time at Hurtwood – and had a fabulous time here to boot! 

 

They have achieved excellence in their final examination results.  56% of all grades awarded were either A* or A, and 22% of all grades were actually A*, the very highest available.  84% of grades were A*, A and B, demonstrating the excellent academic and creative skillsets of our students.  In addition to this, 7 of our students were awarded three or more A* grades.  Several students also completed the very demanding Extended Project, and we are delighted to see the majority achieved A* and A grades.

 

We are thrilled that most of our students are currently in the process of confirming their Firm choice university places to study a diverse range of courses from Dance to Digital Media, Photography to Physics, Marketing to Mathematics and English to Equine Science.

 

Students have secured places at traditional institutions including LSE, UCL, Durham, Bristol, Warwick, Edinburgh, Manchester and Nottingham.  This year sees another tranche of students progressing to degrees and foundation courses at Drama Schools for Acting, Musical Theatre and Dance courses, and many students heading to a diverse range of creative and media courses.  Popular institutions this year include University of the Arts London, GSA, BIMM, ICMP, Arts University Bournemouth, LIPA, Urdang, Mountview and Falmouth. 

 

Hurtwood students are unafraid to venture overseas, and we are delighted that some are on their way to study abroad at institutions in the US, Europe and Asia.  Favourites include NYU, USC, Franklin Switzerland, IE University Madrid and IAB Barcelona.
