Hurtwood A Level Results 2025

14/08/2025

We are celebrating the success of our wonderful and talented leavers.  They worked incredibly hard to show off their skills, knowledge and progress all through their time at Hurtwood – and had a fabulous time here to boot!  We admire them and congratulate them!

They have achieved excellence in their final examination results.  51% of all grades awarded were either A* or A, and 20% of all grades were actually A*, the very highest available.  84% of grades were A*, A and B, demonstrating the excellent academic and creative skillsets of our students.  5 of our students were awarded three or more A* grades, with another 6 students awarded four or five grades – at least two A*s and two As each.  This year, several students completed the very demanding Extended Project, and we are delighted to see they all achieved A* and A grades.

We are thrilled that almost all of our students are currently in the process of confirming their Firm choice university places to study a diverse range of courses from Photography to Physics, Medicine to Marketing, Veterinary Science to Visual Arts and Dance to Digital Media.

Students have secured places at traditional institutions including Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Durham, Bristol, Imperial, Edinburgh, Manchester and Nottingham.  A wide range of creative and media courses are now confirmed at an array of institutions including University of the Arts London, GSA, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, BIMM, ICMP, Arts University Bournemouth and Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.  This year sees the largest number of students progressing to degrees and foundation courses at Drama Schools for Acting, Musical Theatre and Dance courses.

Hurtwood students are unafraid to venture overseas, and we are delighted that many are on their way to study abroad at institutions in the US, Canada and Europe.  Favourites include NYU, USC, Miami, Toronto, British Colombia, Melbourne and Sydney, along with popular European institutions such as IE University Madrid, Parsons Paris, and EHL Switzerland.

We wish them every success for life beyond Hurtwood!
