School Statement Regarding COVID-19

19/03/2020

Disappointingly events have overtaken us.  As you will be aware, the Prime Minister has just announced that all schools in England are to be closed as part of the social distancing strategy in order to suppress the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19).  With heavy heart, I have therefore taken the decision to bring the start of the Easter holiday forward and send students home on Friday 20 March.

There are plans in place to embark on a programme of distance learning for all of our students from Monday 20 April should we be unable to start the summer term as normal.  Our teachers are currently preparing for this programme and we will write to students towards the end of the Easter holiday to remind them how they can access the lesson streams, resources and assessment materials for each subject.

I am genuinely grateful for your overwhelming support for the school at this difficult time.
