Hurtwood Results 2023

17/08/2023

This year we are celebrating the success of our wonderful and talented leavers who have succeeded amidst another challenging year.

With grace and dignity our students embarked on their A Level studies when the world was still reeling from an unprecedented global pandemic. They worked incredibly hard to show off their skills, knowledge and progress all through their time at Hurtwood. We admire them and congratulate them!

They have achieved wonderful success in their final examination results. 52% of all grades awarded were either A* or A, and 20% of all grades were actually A*, the very highest available. 82% of grades were A*, A and B, demonstrating the excellent academic and creative skillsets of our students. 8 of our students were awarded three A* grades.

We are delighted that so many of our students are currently in the process of confirming their Firm choice university places to study a diverse range of courses from Film Production to Physics, Animation to Anthropology, and Illustration to International Relations.  Students have secured places at traditional institutions including LSE, UCL, Durham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Leeds. A wide range of creative and media courses are now confirmed at an array of institutions including University of the Arts London, BIMM Institute, Met Film School, Leeds Conservatoire, Urdang, Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. Hurtwood students are unafraid to venture overseas, and we are delighted that many are on their way to study abroad at institutions including Berklee College of Music, USC, UCSB, the University of Toronto, IE University Spain and Parsons Paris.

We wish them every success for life beyond Hurtwood!
