TEACHER OF A LEVEL MEDIA STUDIES
For September 2022, we are looking for a dynamic A Level teacher to join a well-established and well-resourced Media team – internationally recognised as one of the biggest and best Media departments in the country. The department comprises seven teachers and two practical teachers; there are thirteen A Level groups and over 150 students in all. The department follows the CIE International A Level course and approaches the specification with a practical ethos, developing the students’ understanding through critical study and hands-on experience. Contact time with students is six hours per week and support outside of lesson time is regarded as an essential supplement. The department also runs an extracurricular Film Academy, allowing students who are interested in careers in the media to extend their experience through the production of fiction and non-fiction short films.
