student successes

Over the years since we started preparing students for drama school entry, over 150 people have been through drama school training. Many have found work in the profession as technicians or performers. Daniel Higgot - sound technician, has secured positions throughout the West End and at The RNT. This includes work on sound for the infamous Blue Man Group! Emily Blunt left us to go straight into the business and after taking a lead role in the movie The Devil Wears Prada with Merryl Streep, she has gone forward to even greater Hollywood movie success. Not only that, she is dating Canadian heartthrob crooner, Michael Bouble. Writer Paul Sellar goes from strength to strength with his latest and acclaimed plays Two Graves and World’s End which both transferred to ‘Town’. Ryan Hawley’s first job out of drama school was a lead in the RNT’s The History Boys. It is getting quite difficult to keep track of what everybody is up to so if you have news or updates, please send, pics, reviews and information to us here at info@hurtwood.net and we will post them on the web.

Jenna Harrison known to her school mates here as Clare, joined Emily Blunt in signing with agent Ken Mcreddie straight from Hurtwood.  She too has had extensive TV, film and stage exposure since then and has also managed to front her own band. Whilst at Hurtwood, Jenna rarely missed an oppotunity to take the mic in concerts and showcases  in addition to to straight acting parts
Jenna`s first major TVappearance was in My Brother Tom. By coincidence, she starred opposite actor Adrian Rawlins, who directs and works with us her when not engaged elsewhere.  Adrian shares the same agent as her and Emil

Whilst not otherwise engaged Adrian, or

H as we know him, enjoys working with

our students on their acting. ‘H’ has had a huge stage Film and TV career and will not thank me for mentioning that he also plays Harry Potter’s Dad in the Harry Potter films
